Content Removal & DMCA Policy

Effective date: June 24, 2026

Creators Nearby ("Creators Nearby," "we," "us," or "our") operates a free directory that helps people discover content creators by location and niche. We respect the rights of creators and copyright holders. This page explains how to remove a listing or its media, and how to submit a copyright (DMCA) notice.

1. Remove your listing (fastest option — no legal notice needed)

If you are listed here and want your listing corrected or removed, you do not need to file a copyright notice. Either:

  • Use the "This is me / Correct / Remove" link on your listing, or
  • Email removal@creatorsnearby.com with the listing URL and your request.

We honor verified removal requests promptly. We may ask for a simple, low-friction verification (for example, a one-time code in your public profile bio) to confirm the request comes from you or your authorized representative before removing or editing a claimed profile.

This route also covers privacy and likeness (right-of-publicity) concerns — if your name or image appears and you want it taken down, use this section. You do not need to assert copyright.

2. Copyright takedown (DMCA notice)

If you believe content on Creators Nearby infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to act for, send a written notice to dmca@creatorsnearby.com that includes all of the following (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  3. Identification of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it — please include the exact URL(s) on creatorsnearby.com.
  4. Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Incomplete notices may not be valid. Submitting a knowingly false notice may expose you to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

When we receive a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the identified material and, where applicable, notify the affected user.

3. Counter-notification

If your content was removed or disabled and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to dmca@creatorsnearby.com that includes (17 U.S.C. § 512(g)):

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, mailing address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the U.S., any district in which Creators Nearby may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice or their agent.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity.

4. Designated copyright agent

Copyright and removal requests: dmca@creatorsnearby.com.

5. Repeat infringers

Creators Nearby will, in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, disable or terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyright.

6. Other concerns (not copyright)

DMCA covers copyright only. For privacy, likeness/right-of-publicity, impersonation, or accuracy concerns, use Section 1 — no copyright claim is required and it is usually the fastest path. For legal process or other disputes, contact legal@creatorsnearby.com.
